Or from a business perspective, which is my closest branch to the enquiring consumer? This may be important for
franchises and we like to identify LBS as working on 3 levels.
1. On the simplest level we use different Keywords to identify different areas. Our system then identifies the different
store locations based on the KeyWord received. The enquirer receives the details of the closest store and the store
receives the enquirer’s details in order to make the follow-up call to the enquirer.
2. Next up, using a single KeyWord but requesting the enquirer to add their ZIP or postal code after the KeyWord. The
system recognises the ZIP code and sends the details of the appropriate store. The system will also message the store
with the enquirer’s details so that they can call the enquirer.
3. Moving to the network services (LBS) we can request the WASP to identify the closest supplier to the phone’s current
location. This product may not be supported in all countries.
- In this instance our mapping company partners will ‘geo-code’ all the suppliers locations and lodge the list with a
WASP.(Wireless Application Service Provider)
- On activation the WASP will locate the mobile phone and return to us a code identifying the closest supplier to
that position.
- Floodgate will then send the reply SMS to the enquirer giving him the details of the closest supplier.
- Simultaneously we will send the supplier the enquirer’s details to make the follow-up call.
- In this instance the Mobi-page link could be used to send a map of the supplier’s location to the enquirer.
